Baptism, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation are the three Sacraments of Initiation. According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Confirmation "perfects the graces received at Baptism, empowering us to be followers of the Lord and co-workers for the kingdom"; (CCC 1316).

Through the Sacrament of Confirmation, the Holy Spirit fills us with grace to live the faith with renewed passion. In the time of sacramental preparation, candidates come to know the value of their God-given gifts and talents. This influences the way in which the Sacrament sends us on a mission. This is truly the beginning of new life in Christ!

The date of Confirmation is assigned by the Office of the Chancery in Hartford.
