We are Catholic lay persons who are commissioned to aid our parish in the distribution of Holy Communion -- the body and blood, soul and divinity of the risen Christ.
We distribute communion at weekday, Sunday and funeral Masses. We also bring the Eucharist to the homebound and to residents of Anthology Senior Living, Governor's House, Belden Forest Court, Virginia Connolly Apartments, and Owen Murphy Apartments.
Have a training review session and a social gathering to get to know each other better.
Increase the number of Eucharist MInisters.
We train and commission Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion right here at St. Mary’s. Contact Larry Christian for more information.
We also serve as greeters to welcome everyone as they enter the church
At the conclusion of Mass, we distribute the weekly bulletin and wish everyone a good day as they leave.
Two minutes before Mass begins, we gather in the vestibule with the lector, altar servers and ushers and are led in prayer by the celebrant.
In bringing Communion to the sick and homebound, we also bring our friendship, a connection to our parish church and a very personal contact through listening, sharing, and prayer
Scheduling for Masses is coordinated
