We serve those homebound and residents of Governor's house rehabilitation center, Virginia Connolly, and Anthology.
Weekly we bring Communion to the residents. Monthly Father Stephen celebrates Mass with the residents.
To have two volunteers visit the residents together.
Expand the rosary to other locations.
Offer Stations of the Cross during Lent.
Have music during the Mass celebrations.
Include children and families for caroling/concerts/activities/Mass.
Current Extraordinary Ministers of Communion are invited to join this ministry.
Other ways to serve in this ministry:
Rosaries are always needed to give to the residents
Other Catholic items such as statues, and pictures are always needed.
Children's craft projects are appreciated by the residents
At Christmas time, we bring gifts from our church to all the residents.
On Ash Wednesday we bring ashes to the residents.
Father celebrates Mass with the residents monthly.
Rosary is celebrated with the residents of Governor’s house weekly
Often times we are the only outside visitor for the residents.
We also offer to pray with all residents not only Catholic residents.
If family members are visiting they are invited to participate as well.
