The Second Joyful Mystery is The Visitation. Mary goes to visit her cousin Elizabeth to tell her how happy she is that she is going to have a baby. Elizabeth's baby is John the Baptist. When Elizabeth sees Mary she knows Mary is also pregnant and greets her with Hail Mary, Full of Grace…” This gives us the Biblical basis for the prayer “Hail Mary.”
The lower left window pane photo is a periwinkle, a five petal flower, representing the five wounds of Christ. This flower is also called the Virgin Flower and is blue, a color most associated with Mary. The right window pane is the Fleur De Lis, a traditional symbol of Mary (it looks like a lily, represents the Holy Trinity joined by a band representing that through Mary we can more fully understand the Trinity.)
