Our parish outreach to Mercy Housing and Shelter began in 1980 by a group parishioners who wanted to serve those in need.
Today, these Cherished Helpers, have continued this mission by serving hot meals monthly to those who are homeless, or at the risk of becoming homeless. On the 1st Sunday of the month, the parishioners of St. Mary’s are asked to donate deserts or fruit to be paired with these hot meals.
This outreach has been a long standing tradition of St. Mary’s and help is always in need. Are you looking to become involved 1-2 times per year? Would you like to help make a dinner that is taken to the shelter? We are always looking for volunteers to help us with this very important effort in assisting our community. If you would like to learn more, please reach out to the Parish Office (860 658-7627 or [email protected])
