Father Metzler is away until August 24th participating in a study week on spirituality. Father Vujs and Monsignor Schmitz will be covering Sunday liturgies and priests from Holy Family Monastery will cover our weekday schedule. We are grateful to all of them for their assistance.
We at St. Mary's appear to be in line for some changes this fall. In June 2011, the Parish Council adopted a recommendation report that was to be considered when our parish had only one priest. Over the next few months several refugee families will be arriving from countries around the world and resettling in the Hartford area, authorized by the U.S. to live and work here, safe from the fear of persecution they suffered in their homeland. There are three ways you can help them.

St. Mary’s Ladies Bridge Group is looking for new players for 2011-2012 season. Meet old friends and make new friends, possibly even win a prize. Contract bridge rules are followed. Couples observing their 25th, 50th or other special wedding anniversary are invited to the Anniversary Mass on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at 2:00 PM. Archbishop Mansell will celebrate the Liturgy at the Cathedral of St. Joseph, Hartford. Family, friends and all married couples are welcome to attend the Mass. A brief reception immediately follows.
